In late 2002, Norwich City Football Club approached us to develop a masterplan for the land around its Carrow Road stadium. The club owned the real estate but required specialist advice to realise its potential and secure planning consent.

As well as a new 8,000 seat South Stand and a corner stand with a capacity of 2,000, the masterplan proposal included a 150-bed hotel, 350 residential units and a health club.

Consent was granted for the entire development in May 2003. The first two phases of stand development, designed by RHWL, are now complete.
