The Sondheim Theatre, to be constructed as part of the Queen's and Gielgud Theatres complex that we are refurbishing and extending, will be the West End's first new performance venue in 30 years.

The 500-seat flexible space will be located high up behind the façade of the existing building. Patrons will enter from Shaftesbury Avenue, climbing the new grand staircase, past the other foyers to the new Sondheim foyer, which overlooks the gardens of the adjacent church.

The project represents a unique opportunity and a chance to reinvigorate the heart of London's theatreland. Arts Team are designing the Sondheim in association with Martin McCallum.
