Built in 1804 as a stable block, since 1867 Brighton Dome has been used a concert hall. Together with the adjacent Corn Exchange and Museum, it forms part of a building complex of national importance.

As part of the phased work to the listed buildings in the Royal Pavilion Estate, Arts Team undertook the restoration of the Grade 1 listed Dome. The building's orginal roof, outer frame and façade have been conserved and repaired. Its Art Deco interior, dating from 1935, has been retained and adapted.

With the transfer of the old library to a new building, an improved arrangement of entry, foyer and bar spaces became possible. The polychrome wall tiles and mosaic floors (1901) in the entrance corridors have been cleaned and repaired.
