Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
The Grand Theatre was originally built in just over 6 month at a cost of £10,000. It has remained one of C.J. Phipps' finest works and is listed Grade 2* for its architectural and historic importance.
In 1982 Wolverhampton Metropolitan Borough Council carried out refurbishment work. It was the success of this work and the popularity of the theatre that lead to a review of the existing provision and consideration of further improvements.
Funded by a lottery grant with additional support from the European Regional Development Fund, WMBC and the theatre itself, work commenced in February 1998.
