In 1993, RHWL Architects was appointed by Shirayama Shokusan Ltd to undertake a masterplan for the Grade II* listed County Hall building, former home of the Greater London Council. We then carried the conversion of the majority of the complex for new uses, including a new 200-guestroom 4-star Marriott Hotel.
We also worked on a number of other high-profile projects in the building, including the Saatchi gallery, the Salvador Dali Exhibition Centre, the London Aquarium, facilities for the London Eye, the Namco Family Entertainment Centre and a number of new restaurants and bars.
